The migration of the walleye on Lake Erie begins in mid March when they migrate towards their spawning areas that can be one of several in the Western Basin of Lake Erie. One is the Maumee River, another are the reefs on the south shore of Lake Erie and the third is the area between the Toledo Lighthouse and Turtle Island where dredging humps are located.
The spawning period starts around April 1st and goes until May 15th; depending on water temperatures.

I’ve had a love for the water and fishing since the age of about 7 when I bought my first boat from my grandfather.
We lived on Sand Lake; one of the lakes in a chain of lakes in Hillsdale, Michigan. When I grew up and had a family of my own, our vacations were always somewhere near the water and fishing was always a big part.
You've had the fun and you got all fish that you came for; now is the time to get the gear.
We now offer our clothes for our customers to purchase online via PayPal. You can now get a sweatshirt, a hoodie or a t-shirt so that you can always remember the good times you had with Legal Limit Charters.
At Legal Limit Charters we have always recognized the freedom we have to go out on the water and do the things we love.
We also recognize the sacrifices that have been made by our men and women of the Armed Forces in the name of freedom and in defense of this great country.
Wow!!! What a strange and bizarre world we live in sometimes.
